A Women’s Retreat to Return to Joy!
Summer is a season that naturally invites us back into joy, freedom, connection, and aliveness. As the days grow warmer and brighter, this retreat is an invitation to open the heart, reconnect with pleasure and play, and allow joy to move through you more fully and freely.
In this nourishing half-day retreat, we’ll explore practices that support the expression and embodiment of joy, as a state that can be cultivated, felt, and anchored into the body and nervous system. Through Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), reflection, movement, breathwork, and heart-opening experiences, we’ll gently explore the thoughts, patterns, and behaviours that can inhibit joy and learn how to create new pathways for vitality, openness, and authentic expression.
Together, we’ll move through guided practices including meditation, breathwork, and the transformative “Shake the Dust” practice, creating space for energy, emotion, and life force to move freely through the body. We’ll also explore the importance of allowing the full spectrum of emotion, recognizing that joy deepens when we make room for the fullness of our human experience.
This is a space to celebrate being alive.

Healing Modalities

Somatic Practices are body-based exercises that help you cultivate self-awareness, unlock your body's natural healing capacity, and create more presence through calm and spaciousness within. In this retreat, we'll explore:
Energy Medicine — A system popularized by Donna Eden that works to bring balance and harmony to the body's energetic systems.
Shake the Dust — An embodied movement t practice guided by music, inviting shaking, repetitive movement patterns, including some yoga and dance and intuitive expression to help release tension and allow your body to speak.

Breathwork practices use conscious, intentional breathing patterns to calm the nervous system, release stored tension, and shift the body out of stress mode. It's one of the most accessible tools we have for creating immediate shifts in how we feel, bringing us back to presence and restoring a sense of safety within.

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) explores how our thoughts, language, emotions, and subconscious patterns shape our experience of life. Through practical awareness tools and guided exercises, it helps uncover limiting beliefs, shift old patterns, and create greater clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

Meditation Meditation is the practice of settling into stillness and presence. In this retreat, we use guided meditation to help you quiet the mind, tune into your body's wisdom, and reconnect with yourself. No experience is needed, just a willingness to be with what is.

Cancellation/Refund policy: 50% of payment is a non-refundable deposit - no exceptions. If canceling >30 days prior to retreat, a 50% refund is available. No refunds available on cancellations 30 days or less prior to retreat. No transfer of dates or retreat credits available due to high volume of requests. If retreat is cancelled, a full refund is provided.

This retreat is led by Yoga, Meditation, and Breathwork Instructor & Holistic Healer & Spiritual Life Coach Jessica Hawkes.
With a degree in Anthropology & Eastern Religions from the U. of Victoria, BC., over 15 years of experience in Energy Healing (Reiki, Pranic Healing & Traditional Shamanic Rituals), an intimate understanding of various Somatic Modalities (Yoga & Embodiment practices), and direct Spiritual Study in India (including: Meditation, Breathwork, Sanskrit, & Mantras), Jessica brings a holistic and embodied wisdom to her work.
Drawing on powerful frameworks like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Inner Child Healing, and Spiritual Principles Jessica aims to help others navigate their inner landscapes and live from a place of freedom, clarity, and soul aligned power.
Jessica runs day retreats in the Niagara Region and online Coaching programs in both 1:1 and group settings, all of which intend to unite those involved with their own inner knowing, so that they can live with greater ease, joy and fulfillment.

That is totally Okay! Women of all levels are welcome, including complete beginners. Retreats are a great place to learn and start your journey, to further solidify and embody teachings, or become reacquainted with what you already know from a fresh new perspective.

We will spend the afternoon seated on yoga mats, (or a chair if you need) as well as practicing yoga, so comfortable loose fitting clothing or athletic wear is suitable.
